Isabel’s family from her fathers maternal side originally comes from the Canary Islands, before they migrated to Cuba in the 1920’s. Her father, Carlos, and his partner, Anamaria, moved back to the islands in 2022. With its year-long warm weather, fairly economical prices for food, drink and travel, friendly people and easy-going attitude… we thought Tenerife would be the best place to host our celebration of love! 

We believe we will be receiving friends and family from Canada, Cuba, Switzerland, Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, USA, Serbia and Macedonia! (Hint: Marjan is Swiss-born with a Swiss mum and Serbian dad, Isabel is Canadian born with a Macedonian/Canadian Mum and Cuban/Spanish dad).

The main venue is in Los Realejos. The nearby town in which our shuttles will be dropping people off on the wedding day is called La Orotava.

On the wedding day we ask for people using the shuttle service to walk, taxi or drive to these pick-up points in the above town (we will provide exact coordinates and information closer to the date).

Welcome Party –  We will not be providing transportation, but we recommend carpooling, taxi, or bus! 

Wedding Ceremony –  If you are not staying at the wedding venue itself, please let us know ASAP where you will be staying so that we can organize your shuttle drop off after the party. 

Parking will be limited on the day of the wedding (May 25th). We ask guests to preferably use the shuttles provided, or if necessary carpool and let us know in advance if you will be doing so.

Thankfully the island always provides warm weather… The three days will all take place outdoors. However, we will be prepared for rain in any case. Please also be prepared for nights to be on the chilly side, as we are on the coast. A small shawl or light jacket is recommended. You can see more information on the dress code here!

Due to the smaller and restrictive capacity of our wedding venue we are not adding plus ones to this celebration (unless previously discussed). If you have a special someone you’d like to bring, we are of course open to discussion and to see what can be made possible! 

We would love your children to celebrate with us! However, we must make it clear that the venue is not set up to high safety standards for younger guests. The venue is indeed on a cliffside directly alongside the ocean and does not have very safe “guard-rails” to prevent little ones from potentially falling through. Given the situation, we think you might be better off leaving them at home or with a babysitting service during the celebration.

The majority of the food will be Spanish/Canarian! We will have a range of food to choose from. Please mark yourself as vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free/allergies/etc. via RSVP page so that we can have enough food prepared for you as well. There will be tapas, main dishes, dessert, and then late-night snacks offered.
